Regenerative Agriculture Opportunities for Banks

Through years of system mapping, we’ve learned that traditional ag lenders lack the background and knowledge needed to understand the financial and risk management benefits of regenerative practices. This prevents farmers from receiving favorable loan and funding options to support their transition to regenerative systems. On top of this, due to decades of systemic racism, BIPOC farmers continue to lack access to flexible funding options.

You’re invited as we bring together actors from large, medium, and small-scale banking institutions, farmers and ranchers, scientists and policymakers to discuss (1) the barriers farmers are facing when seeking loans to support regenerative transitions, (2) the environmental, financial, and investment benefits of regenerative agriculture, and (3) how lending institutions can leverage regenerative agriculture to secure future revenue streams.

Our Goals

Open access educational resource reports for bankers, farmers, those working within the agriculture supply chain, and the general public.

Connection

A high level of engagement and lasting relationships built between farmers, banks of all sizes, and other regenerative agriculture partners in this space.

Action

Solutions and products developed that work for lenders and farmers with clear, accessible pathways for BIPOC and young farmers.
